Aurora Home Safety Awareness
June 2, 2017
Reaching nearly 200 homes, volunteers from Charter Communications worked throughout Original Aurora to perform valuable, but often deferred, home safety repairs and educating homeowners on how keep their homes safe and healthy. 49 volunteers installed smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and porch lights for homeowners and helped craft emergency evacuation plans in the case of fire.
With 2 of every 3 home fire deaths resulting from non-operating or an absence of smoke and CO alarms, and the neighborhood being identified by the Red Cross as a high risk to home fires, RTMD would like to thank Charter Communications for saving lives!
