As principal consultant at CBH Brand Strategy, Chelsey Baker-Hauck helps nonprofit organizations tell their story with clarity and impact — articulating a brand that aligns with and advances the organization's mission and aspirations. Chelsey has nearly 20 years of fundraising communication and integrated brand marketing and communications experience. She started her career as a freelance copywriter and journalist specializing in science and technology; her work since has garnered numerous awards for advertising, writing, editing, creative direction and magazine excellence. She previously served as senior director of marketing for Metropolitan State University of Denver. Chelsey holds a BA in journalism, anthropology and geography from the University of Denver and an MA in journalism from the University of Colorado. As the owner of a 100-year-old Denver home—a 15-year restoration-in-progress—Chelsey has a personal appreciation for the maintenance challenges homeowners can face. “A great city must include opportunities for all of its residents, including the opportunity for low-income homeowners to stay in their homes rather than move because their homes aren’t safe and accessible, or because they can’t keep up with the maintenance,” Chelsey says. “I’m honored to serve on the RTMD board and help transform lives, and our community, by providing home repairs and upgrades to those in need."
