The goal of Tuxedos and Toolbelts is to expand our services to help more low-income seniors and people living with disabilities with essential home repairs and modifications to keep them warm, safe and dry and able to stay in their own homes.

Each year more low-income families are forced to choose between vital necessities such as food, medicine or utilities and a roof that does not leak, doors and windows that close and lock or furnaces that work. Rebuilding Together organizes volunteers and professionals to make these repairs at no cost to qualified homeowners.

The Local Impact: There are over 60,000 seniors in Denver. 58% have one or more disabilities, 31% have incomes below $833 per month, and 28% live in housing built before 1950. The result is thousands of low-income seniors with disabilities who cannot afford to keep their homes safe and healthy with needed repairs and modifications.
