Each year on the last Saturday in April, hundreds of volunteers in metro Denver join thousands across the country for Rebuilding Together's National Rebuilding Day. RTMD also organizes a second Rebuilding Day in the Fall . With two major Rebuilding Days each year, we will serve more than 100 low income homeowners and their family members in 2010. On Rebuilding Days, teams of 20-25 enthusiastic volunteers put their hearts and hands to work for one full day to repair and revitalize the deteriorating homes of aging individuals and families. Their goal is to create warm, safe and dry houses that will allow our homeowners increased independence, comfort and safety. All work is provided at no cost to the homeowner. The shared experience of dramatically improving the safety and the quality of life makes Rebuilding Days both a memorable volunteer experience as well as an effective team building activity. |
