On Saturday, April 28th, volunteers from the Mountain
Community will join about 1,200 other volunteers around
Denver for National Rebuilding Day, the largest volunteer
rehabilitation project in the country.
Over 8,500 homes of low-income seniors and people living
with disabilities will be repaired that day, all at
no cost to the homeowners.
The goal of Rebuilding Day is to help people age in
their own homes in safety and warmth, and to help them
live with dignity and independence.
The
2007 Mountain Team Project
The home the Mountain team will revitalize
is one of 32 projects (31 homes and one school) that
will be completed by similar teams all over the metro
area.
The homeowner, Saradee, is a disabled veteran and single
mother of twin 3-yr-old daughters. Her children were
born 12 weeks premature and have trouble staying warm
in her current home.

Please help with a tax-deductible donation, 100% of
which will go to the Mountain project. click

Wow! We've had a great response from volunteers and
have more than enough to get the work done. But
we still need more funds to cover the cost of the project.
