Special Post-Rebuilding Day Extravaganza!!

Welcome to Rebuilding Together Metro Denver's eNews. Once each month we send out news of our programs and the people making it possible. Please forward to friends or colleagues who might also be interested in keeping our neighbors warm, safe, and dry and living in independence.

From Laurie McCaw,
Executive Director:

Dear Friends: We hope this issue of enews finds you having a safe and enjoyable summer. July is a great time of year for Rebuilding Together as our staff and volunteers take some much needed time to regroup, renew and revitalize in the wake of our largest event of the year - Rebuilding Day. The 2005 campaign certainly was the largest in our history - here are some of the highlights:

Homeowner Spotlight: Letter from a 2005 Homeowner Recipient

"Dear Ms. Giuffrida,

I'd like to thank all the sponsors their employees and associates, volunteers, you, your staff and board of Rebuilding Together for the repairs performed and hard work done on my now cozy home. You ought to see it!

Saying thanks for the additional warmth, comfort and safety doesn't even come close to what you have provided.

The new roof has removed a tremendous amount of stress, no more leaks. Replacing the very old, almost as old as I am, furnace, the house is now quiet, no more banging noises.

The water heater, bath fixtures, front door, Plus the new windows are amazing. For the first time in over 20 years I can open all ten windows at the same time. Before maximum was three. I can look out and see my yard clearly. No glare, cracks and fogy haze and they make the home look great from the outside and inside. No more waking up early with a wasp flying above your head. All the windows have screens!

Then there is the repair and painting on the outside, I love the colors, your generosity has taken my home from the worst to what I think is the nicest home in my neighborhood. It lifts my spirits so high it gives me a whole new out look on my life.

This is a dream come true this is a dream, Never in my wildest dream - Thank you, thank you, thank you. ...."

"Best wishes to all of you bless you."
