National Rebuilding Day 2008: Presented by Turner

40 projects! 1 day! Over 1,000 volunteers!

April 26, 2008 will bring the largest Rebuilding Day yet in the Denver metro area. 40 volunteer teams will be working all over town to help low-income seniors and people living with disabilities to live in safety and independence, to age in place in their own homes, and to revitalize neighborhoods.

The gallery is up - see all the houses that will be revitalized by clicking here. This effort will serve over 100 of our neighbors, accomplishing over $500,000 in repair and renovation value in our community.

Not on a Team for Rebuilding Day?

There are still some volunteer spots available for National Rebuilding Day on Saturday, April 26th. Sign up on the online volunteer application

Select "Community Team" if you are interested in a full circle experience including the new "Tool-ology Workshop" to prepare you for the day; social events with the rest of the Community Team members; and fundraising to support the project.

Select "Assign me to a team" if you just want to be placed on a sponsored project that is in need of some additional volunteers.

Contact Mary Brook at (303) 217-2077 or by email to discuss the options and find the best fit for you!

"Change the World Week" Ready to Go

Our first ever week-long project, focusing on the Curtis Park neighborhood, will take place the week of April 28th - May 2nd. Sponsored by HGTV and the National Trust for Historic Preservation, three major projects will provide more opportunities for previously unemployed women; rehabilitate an 1880's home; and provide shady streets in the neighborhood.
